John S. Baker SR. 75 of Exland, died on Tuesday OCT. 28th at the Ladysmith Care and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by, 6 children, Rocke Baker, Dixie Dillivan and Randy Baker all of Exland, John Jr. and Victoria Butler, both of Bruce and Duane Baker of Ladysmith. 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. 3 sisters, Mavis Joyner, Dolores Fehr and Jean Knobeck all of Exland.
Funeral Services for John Baker will be held on Monday, Nov. 3rd at 10:30 AM at the Grace Bible Church in Bruce with Richard Melton officiating. Burial will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Exland. The Baker Family will receive friends at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce on Sunday after 4 PM and also at the Chruch on Monday for an hour prior to service time.
Charlotte M. Stevens, 88 formerly of Glen Flora, died on Thursday, Oct. 23 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips. She is survived by, 2 daughters, Charlene Taylor of Phillips, Bonnie Voldberg of Glen Flora, 1 son, Don Stevens of Glen Flora, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, 1 brother, Elroy LaPorte of Ingram, 2 sisters, Faye Anderson of Hawkins and Connie Leader of Birchwood.
Funeral services for Charlotte Stevens will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hawkins with Rev. Loretta Waughtal officiating. Burial will be in the Glenview Cemetery in Glen Flora. Charlotte’s family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at the church. Nash-Jackan Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
Vera A. Majka, 93, of Radisson, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held for Vera at 10 AM on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Radisson Community Center Library Room. A visistation will be held from 9 to 10 AM on Friday at the community center. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Radisson.
