Wisconsin State Sports (5am update)  February 11, 2019 (Monday) at 4:32 am  Dale Forbis

>>Wisconsin Women’s Hockey Completes Sweek Sunday 4-1 (Madison, WI) — Sophie Shirley put the Wisconsin women’s hockey team on the scoreboard 75 seconds into the action and the Badgers never gave up the momentum in LaBahn Arena Sunday. The 4-1 win over Minnesota State kept the Badgers in first place in the W-C-H-A over Minnesota by two points. Shirley scored a pair of goals and the freshman got scoring help from Alexis Mauermann and Britta Curl. Juniors Sam Cogan and Abby Roque both reached the 100-point career milestone over the weekend. Wisconsin travels to Duluth for a series starting Friday.

>>Bucks Expect To Have Antetokounmpo Back In The Lineup At Chicago (Chicago, IL) — The Milwaukee Bucks expect to have their top player back in the lineup when they meet the Chicago Bulls tonight (Monday). Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was held out of Saturday’s blowout loss to Orlando 103-83 to give his knee a chance to rest. The Bucks have won two of the four games they’ve played without the All-Star. The Bucks have beaten the Bulls two times this season — both at the Fiserv Forum. They still have the best record in the N-B-A at 41-14.

>>Marquette Edges Closer To Big East Conference Lead (Milwaukee, WI) — A 66-65 victory over Villanova Saturday moves the Marquette Golden Eagles to within one game of first place in the Big East Conference standings. The Wildcats were undefeated before Marquette took them down at the Fiserv Forum Saturday. Markus Howard and Sacar Anim combined to score the last 26 points of the game for the Golden Eagles. Howard led all scorers with 38. Marquette plays in Chicago at DePaul tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

>>Badgers Men Drop Big Ten Showdown At Michigan 61-52 (Ann Arbor, MI) — The second game between Michigan and Wisconsin looked a lot like the first one — except with a different winner. Michigan made the late-game plays this time in a 61-52 decision that leaves the Badgers two games behind in the standings and breaks a six-game winning streak. The Wolverines went on a 10-2 run over the last four minutes of the game to claim the important victory. Ethan Happ had 18 points and 11 rebounds but shot just two-of-nine from the field in the second half. The Badgers host Michigan State Tuesday at the Kohl Center.
