>>Badgers QB Hornibrook Questionable, In Concussion Protocol

(Madison, WI)  —  The Wisconsin Badgers could be forced to change quarterbacks when they play at Northwestern Saturday.  Junior Alex Hornibrook is going through the concussion protocol and may not be available.  He wasn’t listed on the Badgers’ injury report and he was seen doing conditioning work after Thursday’s practice.  If Hornibrook doesn’t play, he would be replaced by Jack Coan, who hasn’t thrown a pass this season.  The winner of the game will hold first place in the Big Ten Conference West Division.

>>Bucks Start NBA Season 4-0 For 1st Time In 17 Years

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Minnesota Timberwolves face yet another undefeated team when they host Milwaukee tonight (Friday) at the Target Center.  The Wolves’ record dropped to 2-3 with a loss to Toronto Wednesday.  The Bucks are doing damage with a dramatically different offensive approach, averaging nearly 41 three-point shots-a-game, almost double last year’s average.  Milwaukee is hitting those long bombs, too.  At 15-a-game they rank third in the N-B-A.

>>Packers Top Punt Returner Still Sidelined

(Green Bay, WI)  —  The Packers could activate punt returner Trevor Davis, but that step hasn’t been taken yet.  Green Bay is struggling to return punts, averaging less than five yards-a-return this season.  Davis suffered a hamstring injury before the season opener against the Chicago Bears.  He is eligible to return, but the team has a glut of wide receivers who need snaps right now and Davis would have to take one of their spots.  Green Bay has been using Randall Cobb and Tramon Williams to return punts in his absence.

>>4 Brewers Listed Among Gold Glove Finalists

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Four Milwaukee Brewers are listed among the finalists for this year’s Gold Glove awards for fielding excellence.  Centerfielder Lorenzo Cain, catcher Manny Pina, third baseman Travis Shaw and leftfielder Christian Yelich are in the running for the post-season awards to be announced November 4th.  Three finalists were named at each position.
