>>WR Cobb Training Camp Work Could Be Delay By Ankle Injury

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Green Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb may join his teammates a little later when training camp starts next month.  Published reports indicate the 27-year-old athlete was seen in a walking boot at an airport just recently.  Cobb reportedly said the injury is “temporary,” but no details on how or when he was hurt have been shared.  Cobb was on the field during organized team activities as recently as three weeks ago.  He was one of 16 veteran players excused from the mandatory minicamp two weeks ago.  The injury could delay his participation in training camp.

>>Rookie Phenom Peralta Starts For Brewers

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Rookie Freddy Peralta looks for his third major league victory when he pitches for the Milwaukee Brewers in tonight’s (Tuesday’s) 7:10 P-M home game against Kansas City.  Jake Junis pitches the interleague game for the Royals.  Peralta has been a sensation in three major league starts, pitching to an earned run average of two-point-30.  He’s fanned 25 batters in 15-and-two-thirds innings.  Milwaukee is trying to get back on the winning track after splitting a weekend series with St. Louis.  The Cardinals took the last two games, but the Brewers still have a two-game lead in the Central Division.  Only one team — Baltimore — has a worse record than Kansas City’s 24-54.

>>Greek Freak May Be On Cover Of NBA 2K19

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  A YouTube blogger has leaked a screenshot of the cover athlete for the popular N-B-A 2-K-19 series for game consoles like PlayStation, Nintendo, and X-Box.  It’s Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.  The image from the 2-K website started circulating on social media last weekend, though it has been taken down.  Blogger “Adrian” tweeted the information Saturday evening.  Early information hasn’t always been dependable on this topic.  Last year, somebody posted a first version showing Kyrie Irving in his Cavaliers jersey, before it was switched to a Boston Celtics uniform.

>>Neenah HS Tennis Coach Hangs It up After Nearly 5 Decades

(Neenah, WI)  —  It’s an impressive resume — five state tennis championships, to go with seven runner-up finishes.  Tom Berven’s Neenah boys tennis team has won 41 conference championships and is currently in the middle of a string of 121 Fox Valley Association dual match victories.  Berven is retiring after 48 years.  He’s also run the Neenah Park and Recreation summer program for the last 51 years.  More than 300-thousand people participate in those activities.  He coached 10 individual state champions.
