>>Pittsburgh Takes Rubber Game Of Series In Dominating Fashion 9-0

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Pirates right-hander Chad Kuhl allowed no runs and one hit in seven dominating innings while leading Pittsburgh past the Milwaukee Brewers 9-0 Sunday.  The Pirates hit three home runs.  Domingo Santana’s second-inning single was the only hit Kuhl gave up.  Richard Rodriguez struck out six while pitching the last two innings, allowing only a base hit by Hernan Perez.  Chase Anderson took the loss after being roughed up for five runs in five-and-one-third innings.  Milwaukee has been shut out seven times in the first 35 games of this season.  The Brewers wrap up the homestand with a pair of games at Miller Park against Cleveland.  Left-hander Wade Miley will start the first game Tuesday.

>>Milwaukee Interviews 2 Spurs Assistant Coaches For Its Head Coach Job

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Milwaukee Bucks are talking to two assistant coaches with the successful San Antonio Spurs franchise while they look for a new head coach.  Ettore Messine was in Milwaukee Saturday for an interview.  Sometime in the near future 41-year-old Becky Hammon will become the first woman to interview for an N-B-A head coaching position.  The Bucks are considering at least 10 candidates.  A third assistant with the Spurs, James Borrego, is also expected to be interviewed by Milwaukee as it searches for a permanent replacement for Jason Kidd.

>>McCarthy On Kizer:  Has Potential To Be Franchise NFL Quarterback

(Green Bay, WI)  —  The newest Green Bay Packer quarterback, DeShone Kizer, has already impressed his head coach.  Mike McCarthy says Kizer not only has the ability to be an N-F-L starter, he thinks Kizer has the potential to be a franchise quarterback — like the guy he’s hoping to play behind this season, Aaron Rodgers.  Kizer was winless while starting 15 games for the hapless Cleveland Browns last year, throwing 11 touchdown passes and suffering 22 interceptions.  His 60-point-five passer rating was last among N-F-L quarterbacks during his rookie season.

>>Brewers:  Knebel Nearing Return, Vogt Suffers Setback

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Hopes for catcher Stephen Vogt’s return to the Brewer lineup went in the wrong direction over the weekend.  The 33-year-old Vogt will be examined by Brewer team physician William Raasch today (Monday) after suffering pain while throwing in a minor-league game Saturday.  Vogt strained his throwing shoulder in spring training.  Closer Corey Knebel is said to be making progress from the hamstring injury he suffered last month.  Team officials say he could be back by the end of the week — or, sometime next week.
