>>Signing Of Atlanta Falcon QB Makes Things Clearer For Rogers Deal

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Now the Green Bay Packers know where they stand.  Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan signed a five-year contract extension Thursday which was worth 150-million dollars.  That’s 30-million-a-year for Ryan and 28-million-a-year for Kirk Cousins, a pair of standout quarterbacks.  The Packers are aiming to make sure their record-setting quarterback has the biggest paycheck in the league.  Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst could actually put together a deal which gives the team more cap space this off-season, with the big bucks delayed until 2019.  Green Bay is anticipating more than 50-million in cap space next year.

>>Brewers Put Davies On 10-Day DL

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Milwaukee Brewers are putting starting pitcher Zach Davies on the 10-day disabled list with an arm problem.  The move is retroactive to Monday and the right-hander is expected to miss only one start.  A corresponding player move will be announced today (Friday) by the team.  Doctors hope some brief rest, a missed start and the rotator cuff inflammation he’s experiencing could dissipate.  Davies has been effective with an earned run average of two-point-zero-zero for a three-start stretch.  Overall, he has a 2-3 record with a four-point-24 E-R-A.  The Thursday day off gave the team some flexibility, meaning a fifth starter won’t be needed for a few days.

>>Milwaukee Bucks Taking Applications For Head Coaching Position

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The presence of young, talented players like Giannis Antetokounmpo means the list of applicants to be the head coach for the Milwaukee Bucks will be a long one.  Interim coach Joe Prunty did a good job and he will be applying to stay on.  E-S-P-N is listing five former N-B-A coaches who could be considered.  David Blatt, Mike Budenholzer, Steve Clifford, David Fizadale and Monty Williams are on that list.  Budenholzer and Clifford coached in the league last year.  Fizdale may be out because unconfirmed reports suggest he has accepted the head coaching job with the New York Knicks.

>>Buying Badger Football Tickets Adjusted For 2018

(Madison, WI)  —  The University of Wisconsin says it is trying to create a more efficient sales process by adjusting the on-sale dates for 2018 football tickets.  Instead of a single date for the process to start, undergraduate students will have different dates based on their class status.  Monday, June 11th, is the first date to be circled on the calendar.  That’s when juniors and seniors will have the chance to buy student football season tickets.  Freshmen and sophomores move front-and-center the very next day, June 12th.  Monday, July 9th, will be the day those tickets become available for graduate and professional students.  The sales start each day at 7:30 A-M.
