>>Brewers Complete 3-Game Sweep Of Cincinnati Behind Miley

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  Left-hander Wade Miley held Cincinnati to three hits and one run in six innings in his first start of the year.  Milwaukee won the Wednesday night game 3-1, earning a sweep of the three-game series and taking sole possession of first place in the National League Central Division.  Christian Yelich hit his third home run off Reds starter and loser Luis Castillo in the fifth inning.  That broke a 1-1 tie and gave Miley his first major league victory since last August when he was pitching for Baltimore.  Yelich, Jesus Aguilar, and Domingo Santana each had a pair of hits.  Jeremy Jeffress pitched two scoreless innings to claim his second save in two days.  The Brewers take today off, then Junior Guerra starts the first game of a three-game series at home against Pittsburgh Friday.

>>Marquette Strengthens Schedule With Home-And-Home Against Kansas State

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Marquette Golden Eagles will play Kansas State next season, meeting the Wildcats for the first time in 30 years.  Milwaukee native Bruce Weber coaches a K-S-U squad expected to be an N-C-A-A tournament team after reaching the Elite Eight last March.  Eagles coach Steve Wojchiechowski says his team’s non-conference schedule is shaping up to be the most-challenging one since he’s been at Marquette.  The K-State meeting is a home-and-home, with the Wildcats playing at the new Wisconsin Sports and Entertainment Center December 1st.  Marquette travels to Kansas next season.  The Golden Eagles are also signed up for the Pre-season N-I-T in November.

>>Alabama Man Killed, Possibly In Retaliation For Murder Of Former Packer

(Birmingham, AL)  —  Deputies say they think a 21-year-old man was killed in retaliation for the shooting death of former Green Bay Packer Carlos Gray.  Darryl Thomas’ body was dumped along a Jefferson County, Alabama, road just outside Birmington Tuesday afternoon.  One of the suspects in the Thomas killing was a close friend of Gray.  No charges have been filed in either killing yet.  Gray was signed by the Packers in 2014.  He had been released in 2015 and was living in Alabama when he was fatally wounded.

>>Hader Named NL Reliever Of Month For March-April

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  Milwaukee Brewers lefty Josh Hader has been named National League Reliever of the Month for March and April after a dominating performance.  He struck out eight of the nine batters he faced in two-and-two-thirds innings at Cincinnati Monday.  Hader had an earned run average of one-point-zero-zero in 18 innings of work while fanning 39 batters.  He saved four games and limited the opposition to four hits and a batting average of point-zero-70.
